The year 2023 has barely begun, and we’re already scanning the calendar for public holidays. And the good news is that they all fall on weekdays! It’s even possible to accumulate 64 days of rest by taking just 26 paid vacations! Camping La Pinède tells you how to make the most of your vacations this year.

In 2023, get 64 days of vacation by taking only 26 days off!

Yes, it’s possible! This year, with the exception of November 11, all public holidays are ideal for long weekends in 2023. It is even possible to obtain up to 64 days of rest by taking only 26 days off (maximum 28). Here are our tips for making the most of it.

Public holidays to be taken into account 2023

By 2023, you’ll be able to enjoy six long weekends without a single day off! Coincidentally, almost all public holidays fall on weekdays:

  • Easter: Monday, April 10
  • Labour Day: Monday, May 1
  • May 8, 1945: Monday, May 8
  • Ascension Day: Thursday, May 18
  • Pentecost: Monday, May 29
  • Bastille Day: Friday, July 14
  • Assumption: Tuesday, August 15
  • All Saints’ Day: Wednesday, November 1
  • Armistice: Saturday, November 11
  • Christmas: Monday, December 25

In April

  • The first public holiday of the year falls on Easter Monday, April 10. In fact, by taking four days off after Easter Monday, you can accumulate nine days of rest, from Saturday April 8 to Sunday April 16.

In May

  • The month of May will be synonymous with springtime singing, relaxation and long weekends with several timely public holidays. All in all, with just 6 well-placed days, it’s possible to take 18 days off in May. You’ll only work 12 days…
  • Monday May 1 (Labour Day) and Monday May 8 (Armistice Day 1945) are public holidays. If you take 4 days off from Tuesday May 2 to Friday May 5, you’ll have 10 consecutive days of vacation!
  • Thursday May 18 (Ascension Day) is a public holiday. If you take paid leave or RTT on Friday May 19, you get 4 extra days off.
  • Monday May 29 (Pentecost) is a public holiday. By taking a final RTT on Friday May 26 or Tuesday May 30, you’ll enjoy another 4-day weekend.

In July

This year, July 14th falls on a Friday. It will therefore be possible to take nine days of vacation, from Saturday July 8 to Sunday July 16, with only four days off, from Monday July 10 to Thursday July 13. Better still, the following week, you get 10 days’ vacation with just 5 judiciously scheduled days off between Monday July 17 and Friday July 21.

In August

In August, Assumption Day (August 15) falls on a Tuesday. How about extending the summer vacations a little longer? Using the same trick as for previous months, you can benefit from 9 consecutive days off if you decide to take 4 days off on Monday August 14, Wednesday August 16, Thursday August 17 and Friday August 18.

All Saints’ Day

This year, November 1 falls on a Wednesday. If you take two days off on Monday October 30 and Tuesday October 31, you get 5 days off. With two extra days off, on Thursday November 2 and Friday November 3, it’s possible to get 9 days of vacation on Toussaint.
